Goodland, KS resident Phyllis Ann (Roeder) Ailey, 69 passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Citizens Medical Center in Colby, Kansas.
Phyllis was born on May 20, 1953 in Goodland, KS to Ronald and Dorothy (Nondorf) Roeder, Sr. She was the oldest of five children. Her father was in the military so she attended several schools. Following graduation from Ferndale high school in Michigan she attended the Vo-Tech College in Goodland and received her Associates Degree in Business.
Following her two years at Vo-Tech, she opened the corner cafe with her grandma Violet and was known for their famous peanut butter cinnamon rolls. After the cafe closed she moved to Oklahoma, where she was the Sales Manager for several convenience stores around the state. She lived in Tonkawa, Medford, Blackwell and Waynoka, OK.
In 1984, she married Everett Ailey, and they later divorced.
She enjoyed fishing, reading, playing games and coloring. She always believed that you should treat people the way you would like to be treated. She was also a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Goodland.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and one sister Karen Cecil.
Surviving family includes her brother Ron (Tina) Roeder, Jr. of Colby, KS, a sister Rita Gattshall (Todd) of Thornton, CO and a brother Curtis Roeder of Oklahoma. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
