Goodland, Kansas resident Patricia Ann “Patty” Mills, 52, died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado.
She was born January 10, 1961, at Goodland, Kansas, the daughter of Barbara (Carl) and Neil Butts. She earned her GED and attended Northwest Kansas Technical College in Goodland.
She and Joseph Mills were married in 1987 and to them were born three sons Johnathan, Josh, and Jeremy. She stayed at home with the boys until they were all older. After her divorce, she went back to school to receive a degree in Business. She had worked as a Wal-Mart associate. For the past year, she had made her home in Kiowa, Colorado with her cousin Terri and husband Ken Davis.
Patty’s passion was her boys, her family and her gardening. Every year she would grow a beautiful garden and loved to share her bounty.
Preceding her in death were her father Neil Butts, brother Troy Butts, her grandparents and sister-in-law Dee Butts.
Surviving family includes her sons Johnathan Mills, Josh Mills, and Jeremy Mills, all of Seattle, Washington; mother Barbara Butts of Goodland; brothers Tony Butts and his wife Michelle of Colby; Rod Butts and his wife Suzie of Goodland; and Mike Butts and his wife Becky of Stella, Missouri and a sister-in-law Pam Butts of El Dorado, Kansas.
The funeral will be Thursday, April 4, 2:30 PM MT, at Koons Chapel in Goodland, with burial to follow in the Goodland Cemetery.
Friends may share their respects on Wednesday, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM MT, at Koons Chapel.
