Michelle Cure

November 7, 1986 — July 14, 2025

Stratton, Colorado

Well done, Good and Faithful Servant!

Michelle Kae (Hamacher) Cure was born on November 7, 1986, to Rod and Jannette (Nall) Hamacher in Hugo, CO. After a long illness, she entered peacefully into eternal life on July 14, 2025, surrounded by her family in their home in Stratton, CO.

Michelle was raised in Limon, CO, where she attended Limon Elementary School and graduated from Limon High School in 2005. Growing up, she formed a deep bond with both of her grandmothers. Together they built lasting memories baking and cross-stitching.

Following high school, Michelle attended CSU for a few semesters then studied at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, receiving a degree in Health Education and Nutrition. There her passion for nutrition and holistic living took root. This sparked a life-long pursuit to live well and assist others in striving to do the same. Those who visited her house knew she was a nutritionist by the food on her table and the soap at the sink. She researched all things health-related, working tirelessly to fill her home with what is good, true, and beautiful.

In 2004, Michelle met and began dating Jason Cure. The two were married on July 18, 2009, and established their first home in Windsor where Michelle worked in education and nutrition. The couple welcomed sons Jacob and Creed and daughter Aubrie into their family prior to moving to Goodland, KS, in 2017 where they enjoyed small town life. Daughter Emma was born there, and the family flourished in their church and community involvement. Eventually, Michelle and Jason discerned a call to begin homeschooling – a call which allowed Michelle to pour herself full-time into forming each of her children intellectually and spiritually. They moved to Stratton, CO, in 2023 to be closer to family. There, the center of her world continued to be her husband, her children, and her faith.

Michelle demonstrated a keen way of being fully present, making others feel like the most important person in the room. She possessed a zeal for the salvation of souls and witnessed about the love of Christ wherever she went – from her home to the hospital room. She exercised a gentle way of pointing people to Jesus and challenging all to be positive in life’s most challenging circumstances. In sickness and health, she constantly dropped nuggets of faith into the hearts of others, encouraging them to live Christ-centered lives. Michelle never shied away from sharing about her love for Jesus and the Catholic faith. Her deep devotion to God shone brightly from the art that filled her home to the words and deeds of her life.

Despite many health struggles, Michelle never underestimated or doubted the power of redemptive suffering. She knew that her suffering and illness had a purpose beyond worldly understanding and accepted God’s will with grace.

Michelle was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Duane and Nancy Nall and paternal grandparents Louis and Mary Hamacher. She is survived by her devoted husband Jason, sons Jacob and Creed, and daughters Aubrie and Emma; parents Rod and Jannette Hamacher of Limon, CO; sister Amber Nunez and Eduardo Rodriguez (Clayton Carter and Xavier and Natali Nunez) of Aurora, CO; father-in-law Dave and mother-in-law Debbie Cure of Stratton, CO; sister-in-law Jenny and husband Tom Stebly (Maren, Coralynn, Warren, and Julian) of Enid, OK; and numerous other family and friends.

Michelle lived a full and faithful life. She will be fondly remembered as a woman of tremendous faith and deep devotion to her family. Her fortitude will continue to inspire.
