Lifelong Goodland, Kansas resident Mary Allene Bailey, 81, died Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Deseret Care Center at Colby, Kansas.
She was born October 27, 1931, Salina, Kansas, the daughter of Ola Mae (Miller) and Clarence Stults. She attended schools at Goodland.
She and Walter Edward Pentico, Jr. were married and they made their home in Goodland. Their children included Theresa, Veronica, Walter, and John Robert Carter.
Later she married Lewis Leroy Bailey, and they also made their home in Goodland. Their children included Ronda and Joyce.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands Walter Edward “Bud” Pentico, Jr. and Lewis Leroy Bailey; son Walter Pentico; grandson Levi Hayden; granddaughter Christy Carter; and sister Clarice Mallory.
Surviving family includes children Theresa Pentico of Goodland; Veronica Binder and her husband Terry of Sterling, Colorado; John Robert Carter and his wife Cindy of Daingerfield, Texas; Ronda Hayden and her husband Bill of Hays; Joyce Howland and her husband Jim of Corsicana, Texas; six grandchildren Terry Wade Binder, Brian Binder, Brandon Hayden, Christina Capps, Jamie Howland, and Robert Carter; and six great-grandchildren.
The private graveside service will be at the Goodland Cemetery.
Memorials may be designated to Deseret Nursing and Rehabilitation at Colby, and may be mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, KS 67735-1555
