Lynn James Bartlett

Lynn James Bartlett, a longtime resident of the Burlington and Kanorado area, passed away at St. Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood at 70 years of age with family by his side.

Lynn was born to James K. Bartlett Jr, and Ellen Marie Jensen-Bartlett in Scott City, Kansas, on May 8, 1955. He was one of six children, two older sisters, Gwenn Kleweno, Joyce Weaver, one younger brother, Christian known as Chris, and two younger sisters, Pamela Luther, and Kaye Williams.

Lynn completed his GED and went on to Trinidad State College to earn his gunsmithing degree. He later opened his gunsmithing business in Glenwood Springs of Garfield County, Colorado. He thrived during the busy times and picked up side jobs during the slow seasons. Lynn later moved back to Burlington after the passing of his brother and father to help with the care of his mother, where he continued to live until he parted life. 

His top three loves of life were his dogs, the outdoors, and fireworks. 

Lynn is preceded in death by his parents. James “Jim” and Marie Bartlett, his younger sister Kaye, and brother Chris. 

He is survived by his sisters, Gwenn of Burlington, Joyce of Tribune, Kansas, Pamela, of Greeley, Colorado, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Also, his much loved two fur babies, Bean and Gomer. 

There are no services being planned at this time.
