Lavaughn Glasco

June 9, 1922 — November 4, 2017

Lavaughn Glasco, 95, a lifelong resident of the Goodland, Kansas area, entered her eternal heavenly life on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 at the Goodland Regional Medical Center in Goodland.   She was born to John and Mary Mosbarger on April 2, 1922 and she grew up in the Bird City area where she met and married, John A. Glasco in 1941.

Johnny and Lavaughn moved to a rural Goodland, Kansas farm where they lived and worked.  Johnny passed away in 1956 and Lavaughn remained on the farm working with her father and brother, Gary Mosbarger.  Lavaughn had many friends and neighbors and was active in many school, church and community activities.

Lavaughn is survived by her daughter, Kathy and her husband Tom of Andover, Ct, and their 2 children, TJ, and Kari Bennett and husband Rob. Lavaughn’s son, Calvin, and his wife, Vicki, of Ozark, Mo, and their children Grant and wife Chelsee, Kami Cardwell and husband Billy, Lauren Cunningham and husband Tyler, Ashley Montgomery and husband Zane, and Clayton.  Lavaughn is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.

Lavaughn is also survived by sister-in-law Barbara Mosbarger, nephew Jim Mosbarger and his wife Darla and their sons John and Jace.  Her niece Shari Taylor and her husband Terry and sons Ryan and Garrett.  The family wants to especially thank the Mosbarger family for all their love, help and support over the years, and especially Shari who was the ever patient and loving person who cared for her Aunt in both happy and difficult times.

Lavaughn will be remembered as a sweet, loving lady with a generous heart.  Her Christian values shone through her life every day, and she will be forever remembered as a true example of God’s love.
