Keith Headrick

Goodland, Kansas resident Keith Jerome Headrick, 83, died Saturday, November 21, 2015, at his home.

He was born March 27, 1932, at McDonald, Kansas, the son of Jesse M. (Little) and John S. Headrick.  Following high school graduation, he continued his education at Barnes Business College in Denver, Colorado.  He served his country in the United States Army from December of 1952 through October of 1954.

On November 11, 1951 he and Doris Lea Dunn were married at the Methodist Church in Bird City, Kansas.  They made their home in Denver, where he worked as a machinist at Nabisco, now Kraft Foods, for thirty-three years.  In July of 1999, they moved to Goodland.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Times he enjoyed were being with family, hunting, fishing, and meeting with friends at the Butterfly Café.

Preceding him in death were his wife Doris Headrick, one brother, and six sisters.

Surviving family includes two sons Steve Headrick and his wife Isabelle of Bird City; Brent Headrick and his wife Barbara of Cleveland, Oklahoma; daughter Cherlyn Sepesey and her husband Ron of Thornton, Colorado; six grandchildren Andrea Arellano and her husband Rick, Thomas Gabaldon, Damion Gabaldon, Dese Ray Headrick, Jenny Headrick, and Julie Headrick; and ten great-grandchildren including Ava Jane Headrick and Rylee Dean.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, November 25, 10:00 AM MT, at Koons Chapel in Goodland, with time to visit with family that will extend until noon.  Graveside service and interment will be Friday, November 27, at 1:00 PM MT, at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, 10201 Grant St., Thornton, Colorado.

Memorials may be designated to Center for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University, and may be left at the service or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main, Goodland, KS  67735-1555.
