Gene Berg

Ainan Eugene Berg, 71, passed away at Hope Springs in Sharon Springs on November 4, 2025. He was born on November 27, 1953 to Ainan and Betty (Young) Berg, in North Platte, NE.

Gene attended school in Goodland and graduated from Goodland High School in 1973. He then went on and attended Colby Community College for a short time.

Gene always liked working in his yards and gardens. Worked for Yellow Freight Company in management positions as linehaul managers in 8 different locations over his 20 with Yellow. After retirement with Yellow he worked with several insurance companies doing insurance adjustments in several states.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents Ainan and Betty, one brother Terry Berg and his sister-in-law Judy Berg.

He is survived by his brother Bob Berg of Goodland, KS, and his sister Susan VanPelt of Fremont, NE, and several nieces and nephews.

Private family inurnment will be held in the Goodland Cemetery at a later date.
