Ethel Kisner

Sharon Springs, Kansas resident Ethel M. Kisner, 97, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Wallace County Community Care Center in Sharon Springs.

She was born April 18, 1918, in Monument Township of Logan County, Kansas, the daughter of Loedisa (Teichmer) and Walter E. David.  She graduated from Wallace High School in Wallace, Kansas, with the class of 1936.

On February 11, 1934, she and Paul A. Hill were married at Russell Springs, Kansas.  He preceded her in death in 1960.  In 1969, she and Bryson Kisner were married at Littlefield, Texas.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Paul Hill; husband Bryson Kisner; sons Jimmie Hill, Bobbie Hill, and Byron Hill; brothers Floyd David and Johnny David; and brother-in-law John Lock.

Surviving family includes son Bill E. Hill and his wife Mary of Sharon Springs; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; twenty-seven great-great-grandchildren; sister Leneta Lock of Sharon Springs.

The funeral will be on Saturday, March 5, at 2:00 PM MT, at the Wesleyan Church in Sharon Springs, with Pastor Seth McGregor and Reverend Paul McNall officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sharon Springs Cemetery.

Friends may share their respects on Saturday, March 5, from 1:00 until 2:00 PM MT, at the Wesleyan Church.

Memorials may be designated to the Sharon Springs Wesleyan Church (to be used for Feed The Children), and may be left at the service or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main, Goodland, KS  67735-1555.
