Bryan W. Weems, Jr., 92, passed away at Garden Terrace at Overland Park, on August 3, 2025. He was born on September 14, 1932 to Bryan Sr. and Catherine (Hamer) Weems, in Roff, Oklahoma. He was one of six children.
He attended elementary school in Lahoma, OK and graduated in 1950 from Sayre High School in Sayre, OK. On April 6, 1953, he married Norma Connally in Collyer, KS. To this union they had six children Jerry, Willie, Joya, Eva, Tim, and Mike.
Bryan served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. After his service in the military, he worked many years as a Math and Science teacher as well as a banker. Most importantly he loved being a Dad and Grandpa. He enjoyed playing Big Band Music and even played in the Bob Berger Orchestra. He was an Eagle Scout and also played TAPS at many funerals.
He is survived by his sons Jerry (Susan), Willie (Connie), and his daughter Eva (Clay). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; two sisters Janice and Catherine, and two brothers Bruce and Jim.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Joya, his two sons Tim and Mike and one sister Gayle.
Memorial contributions may be made out to the Cheyenne County Village and may be mailed to Koons-Russell Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave, Goodland KS 67735.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Quinter, KS.
