Bobbie "Bob" Dorries

Goodland, Kansas resident Bob Dorries, 74, died Friday, May 8, 2015, at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
He was born July 10, 1940, at Goliad, Texas, the son of Minnie Ione (Wood) and Hiram Delmer Dorries. He graduated from Calhoun High School at Lavaca, Texas, and then furthered his education with courses, as he served his country in the United States Air Force.
On June 2, 1987, he and Rose Marie Vaught were married at Golden, Colorado. He was a member of Church of Christ.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Surviving family includes his wife Rose Dorries of Goodland; step-children Dave Sharon of Goodland; Alan Sharon of Brighton, Colorado; Tom Sharon of Arriba, Colorado; Jeff Sharon of Evans, Colorado; three brothers Glenn Dorries of Victoria, Texas; Kenneth Dorries and his wife Nancy of Port Lavaca, Texas; Billie R. Dorries and his wife Billie of San Antonio, Texas; sisters Betty Trapp of Alvin, Texas; Dorothy Fudge and her husband Welton of Beeville, Texas; Velmer Rosenbrock and her husband Walter of Port Lavaca, Texas.
The memorial service will be Wednesday, May 13, 10:30 AM MT, at Koons Chapel in Goodland, with Brent Flanders officiating.
Memorials may be designated to Goodland Church of Christ, and may be left at the service or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main, Goodland, KS 67735-1555.
