Betty Fritsch

January 3, 1937 — June 30, 2016

Lifelong Goodland, Kansas resident Charlene Fritsch, 79, died Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado.

Betty Charlene was born January 3, 1937, in Goodland, Kansas, the daughter of Ida Sophia (Peter) and Fred Peter.  She graduated from Sherman Community High School in Goodland with the class of 1955.  She was a member of the Calvary Gospel Church. She served the community with her thirty-eight years at First National Bank, beginning in 1967 and retiring in 2005.

Charlene loved to read, sing, and watch her favorite game show Jeopardy. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.  She was alwas giving and never needing.  Charlene, who was known to her family as Nana, was a woman of great faith, who instilled that faith into her family.  Her family all holds a special place in their hearts for her forever.

Preceding her in death were her parents and brother-in-law Lawrence Larson.

Surviving family includes her daughter Kimberly Ann Ketzner of Atwood;  son Blake Bradley Fritsch of Goodland; three grandchildren Amber Shay Timm, her husband Jonathan Allen, and their children Kennedy Paige and Mason Allen, all of Atwood; Brandon Michael Cavenee, his wife Tasha Fay, and their children Shay Elizabeth, Kendall Reese, Merrick Evan, all of Atwood; Nathaniel John Ketzner of Atwood; four step-grandchildren Nick Ketzner of Bird City; Ghia Ketzner of Colby; Noel Ketzner of Bird City; Brock Ketzner of Burlington, Colorado; and sister Elaine Larson of Goodland.

The funeral will be Tuesday, July 5, at 11:00 AM MT, at Calvary Gospel Church in Goodland, with Pastor Randy Payne officiating.  Burial will follow in the Goodland Cemetery.

Friends may share their respects on Monday, from 4:00 until 6:00 PM MT, at Koons Chapel in Goodland.

Memorials may be designated to the Calvary Gospel Church Building Fund, and may be left at the First National Bank in Goodland, or left at the services, or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main, Goodland, KS  67735-1555.
