Alice Theresa Blackwell

Goodland, KS resident Alice Theresa Blackwell, 74, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at the Goodland Regional Medical Center in Goodland.

Born in Salzburg, Austria, Alice came to the United States with her mother when she was just 17 months old. She grew up in New York City, and in the early 1970s she married, started a family, and moved to Colorado in 1983.

Alice and her former husband raised their two children on the Stargazer Ranch, where she found great joy in riding her horse, Scottie. She worked tirelessly every day to keep her family healthy and the ranch running smoothly, all while working for StorageTek for many years. Her strength, dedication, and work ethic were evident in everything she did.

In the early 2000s, Alice embraced a new chapter in her life. She loved spending time with her partner, Ron, and cherished her days devoted to her grandchildren Casey, Branen, Logan and Ashlyn, great-granddaughter Willow and many step grandchildren who brought her immense happiness. Alice also found great peace in gardening. She especially loved growing zucchini to make her cherished homemade zucchini bread, and she took great pride in caring for her beautiful rose bushes.

Alice had a deep love for road trips and was always ready for an adventure. Whether it was the mountains or the ocean, it never mattered to her as long as she was surrounded by family and friends. She had a rare gift for making people feel welcome and loved, and she truly loved everyone she met.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
